Growth in ARPU from messaging
Gartner projects that 350 Million Business and Consumer Users Will Have Wireless E-Mail Access by 2010. For telco operators, this is good news. Add to this user adoption of new SMS services, mobile IM and presence enabled/buddy list centric messaging, opportunities for growth in messaging ARPU clearly exist.
"Adoption" is the operative word. Even after a user can access multiple email accounts from a handheld device, will that user be responsive? Unless the interface and messaging "user experience" is stimulating, new apps and services will not encourage communication.
Stimulating response on handhelds
SMS and IM are short message mechanisms and "immediacy" of response encourages the user. Email is not so time sensitive; email demands a richer vocabulary and style of composition which cannot be described as a "short message". However, the drive for "one message envelope for SMS, IM, email and MMS" means the messaging application must deliver a great user experience across all messaging applications.
Improved User Experience
Adaptxt Predictive Text 2.0 delivers an improved user experience across all "data capturing" applications: SMS, IM, email, word processing, note-taking and form-completion in web browsers.
Adaptxt Predictive Text 2.0 is a language input solution: there are language features (or modules) which helps the user enter text on handheld devices, no matter the application or device physical form factor.
